Some of our regular clients have been enjoying their days with us, year after year for more than 35 years, which reflects the fact that we have been organising successful shooting in Angus for over 40 years. Our approach is to make our guests feel very welcome and to relax and enjoy the high quality shooting and beautiful surrounding countryside. Please contact us if you would like to join us on one of our shooting days or simply to book a relaxing break in one of our Country Holiday Cottages

                  Newsletter                      March 2012

In spite of the mild and very wet weather which delayed the harvest and made managing the birds extremely difficult, we have enjoyed some excellent days this season with bags generally meeting or surpassing expectations which reflects great credit on David and his team.  The shooting continues to produce a consistent level of sporting and challenging birds in beautiful surroundings.

We had one very disappointing day on 26th November - The Castle and Loups drives let us down badly on this day caused by the exceptionally mild weather.  The second and third time through these drives in cold January days were excellent as were all the days onwards from early December when the weather turned to our normal cold winter.  Added to this we had two excellent end of term days for my family and a good keeper's day - duck flighting on our ponds quite spectacular.

Many of you are aware that health issues restricted my involvement in running the shooting at Little Kenny during the season just finished and that Martin has run the majority of the days that took place.  Understandably, many of our shooting guests have asked the question what will happen to the shooting here in the future.

The plan for the future is that Martin will take over the running of the shooting and we have days available for the 2012-13 season as indicated on the 'Programme' page .  I will continue to be involved in an advisory capacity and will continue to live and farm at Little Kenny.  Shoot bookings can still be made via my office at Little Kenny or via Martin directly.  Martin's e-mail address is as below. Please let Martin or me know if you are interested as soon as you are able'.

With best regards to all
